Hello everyone

I have a 1 year extension of stay ( expire Feb 2024) based on marriage with multi rentery permit. I renewed my passport recently while visiting my home country

How could I transfer the extension of stay to my new passport? Could I simply enter thailand as a tourist then go to the local immigration officer to get the old visa on the new passport?

Regards

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the help so far ,

I have a question regarding the issuance of a new passport while on a non O visa ( not extension).

If i understood correctly, the IO won't transfer visa stickers but only stamps.

The thing is is that I'll be starting a new job on September 12th and will get my new passport around this time. I was thinking to go transfer my visa and then ask for my extension based on mariage but this is not possible ?

What would be the solution then? Take my passport and wait that my visa is 45 days old to go with both passport and request for my extension?

For the work permit, update the passport number at the time of extension?

Thank you for your help,

Anthony

I'm applying for my non immigration 0 visa based on marriage to a Thai national from Australia. Does anyone know if I need a 12 month cover for covid or 90 days as I need to exit Thailand every 99 days.

Tod and team, I arrived in Thailand on December 18th, 2020 with a Non-immigrant multiple-entry type O (married to a Thai) visa. We live in Bangkok. My current stamp is good until March 17th. I have an appointment scheduled with Immigration on February 23rd. I've checked over the previous postings in this regard, but I'm still confused. My visa is a multiple-entry and from what I understand I would normally exit/re-enter the country at one of the border crossings, but under current conditions this is not practical/possible. What do I need to ask for at immigration? I currently do not have a Thai bank account (not that I haven't tried). I will be receiving my certified marriage license from the US State Department soon (I requested it in June of last year) and I will then be able to get my yellow house book and driver's license, which should also help me get a bank account. Which type of extension can I get? Can I use my multiple-entry visa? What are my best options to stay in Thailand? Thanks for your help.

Just got back from extending my visa non imm O based on marriage paid my 1900 baht but now in a couple days they come to my home I guess for inspection and confirmation of us being married. Was told there is a 3000 baht charge for this. Seems a bit high because the visa itself was only 1900 anybody know about this charge?? Not sure if it’s legit or not as I never got this visa before. First timer. Thanks in advance

Well I changed from my yearly multi entry Immigration O to extension of stay (based on marriage)

Off amnesty, onto 60 days family extension, onto under consideration and finally the stamp. A 3 month exercise which reminded me how much I miss my annual trip to Vietnam and my 90 day border hops.

A tree died and I've seen enough of the inside of BKK immigration to last a lifetime.

Tod and the team here are the most valuable resource for making it as pain free as possible, thank you guys 🙏

November 2021 can take it's time 🤣

Hello, I got my 30-day “Under Consideration” stamp at Chaengwatthana last month for 1-year extension based on marriage. I’m going Friday to (hopefully) get the remaining 11 months. Do I need to bring anything other than my wife, passport and updated bank book with 400K balance?

Hi team, My girlfriend (Filipina) is at the moment on a NON-O Volunteer Visa. If we (two foreigners German & Filipina) getting married can we apply for a dependent visa for her without leaving the country?

I am on NON-B with a blue work permit.

Feedback highly appreciated. Thank you very much.
