Just got back from extending my visa non imm O based on marriage paid my 1900 baht but now in a couple days they come to my home I guess for inspection and confirmation of us being married. Was told there is a 3000 baht charge for this. Seems a bit high because the visa itself was only 1900 anybody know about this charge?? Not sure if it’s legit or not as I never got this visa before. First timer. Thanks in advance
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently extended their Non-O visa based on marriage and was informed that there would be a 3000 baht charge for a home inspection as part of the process. Many commenters expressed disbelief at this fee, stating that they never paid more than the standard 1900 baht application fee and had never encountered a charge for such home inspections. They emphasized that the visit should not incur any costs and warned the original poster that this might be a scam. Overall, the consensus among commenters is that no payment beyond the 1900 baht should be expected, and any demands for additional fees should be treated with skepticism.
