I'm currently on a Non O based on marriage to a Thai that expires 21st September and want to change to based on over 50 because it requires much less paperwork.

I need to leave Thailand for a week at the beginning of September.

Would it be easier to not get a re-entry and just return on t 60 day, then apply for the over 50 visa or get the re-entry? Funds will be seasoned.

Thanks.

Hi.

UK expat arrived Jan 21st on visa exempt.

Planning on applying for over 50 visa.

I have the funds in my Thai bank account ( well seasoned 6 months plus) and a long term condo lease.

What is the process?

Apologies if this gets asked a million times, every case seems to be slightly different.

Hi all, asking for a friend, 76years old, flight booked already, 15/12/21 23/03/22. Total of 97 days for some reason. What visa options are open to him pls? His ticket is Fully Flexi so I suggested reducing days to 90.? Thanks.

Non-im type O over 50 Aug 2nd deadline coming up. Have done 12 mo. extension three times before so have papers eg., tm30, passport pages, bank letter and statements showing two months seasoning of 800k.

Would like to take flight home 24 June for 5-6 weeks but I might have to wait an extra week before I can go to immigration.

Jomtien office will allow max. 30 days before deadline to process extension. Any chance I can convince them to approve the extension tomorrow, I think about 37 days before the deadline? Curious if anyone has found Jomtien to be flexible on this.

Also I don't remember how much time the "under consideration" takes. If extension approved, will I get my passport back the same day or does it take multiple days or a week?

Urgent .I think I just messed up at immigration. I extended my over 50 Visa today at Jomtien immigration and they took my passport for pick up on July 8th. But I'm flying to Krabi tomorrow.

I was thinking my hotel would take a copy of the passport for check-in but forgot about getting on the plane at BKK Airport. Is it possible to get on a domestic flight to Krabi from BKK without actual passport and just a copy and with u.s. Florida driver's license ?

Hi All,

Does anyone have an example of a completed set of the 4 extra forms you get when applying for a yearly over 50 extension? I confess to being somewhat confused. TIA

Tod Daniels, a quick question please, last year, when renewing my non-O extension, over 50, at Cheang Wattana I used the computer 'fillable' TM 7 posted on this site. So when printed all in black print and all accepted without question. I read this morning that forms should be completed in blue ink and not black to avoid form looking like a duplicate.

Was I lucky last year or is the computer filled, black printed form completely acceptable?

Hi everyone, just an update on my extension of stay for over 50 visa on Samui using the combination of funds method.

Just putting it here as I completed it 2hrs ago and details may or may not be the same as other immigration offices.

Had to get 14 months of "international transfer statement" (pension) from the bank, along with a statement of funds held in my account.

They looked for the lowest transfer amount and multiplied that figure by 12.

It took a long time as opposed to having the full 800k in the bank, almost 6 days. They said they don't like using this method and prefer for the applicant to have the 800k in the account.

I said I'm not bringing money over while rate is so low, so want to do it this way, hence the delay I guess. Apart from that, it was all the normal paperwork, photos, home, medical etc.

No mention of insurance requirements, no mention of TM30.

As I said, only posting as information. đź‘Ť
