Morning all

Visa question. Next year me and my partner are planning 2 longer stays, and want to know if it’s doable.

Stay 1. 10 weeks. 2nd May to 11th July. 70 days.

Stay 2. 12 weeks. 1st Nov to 24th Jan 2027. 84 days.

Visa wise, am I right thinking the first trip will be 60 day tourist, then our 1st extension for 30 days (will only need 10 of them)

2nd trip, our 2nd 60 day tourist visa will expire 31st Dec 26, and we plan to be here for another 4 weeks, that technically falls into 2027.

Is this doable? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys,

I’ve previously been in Bangkok during covid for 90 days on a 60 day tourist visa + 30 day extension.

I then came back to Thailand on a Tourist visa, left Thailand and went to Vietnam for 1 day and came back to Thailand with an ED visa from a language school learning Thai. I stayed in Thailand for 1 year from August 2023 - August 2024 on the ED Visa then left Thailand due to the expiration of my ED Visa.

I then returned to Thailand with my brother in October 2024 where I was asked “what was I doing in Thailand?” and I answered “traveling with family” and pointed to my brother who was behind me. I was then asked to provide proof of accommodation and proof of leaving Thailand plane ticket then I was let in with a 60 day tourist visa and have extended it for extra 30 days.

I will be leaving Thailand when my tourist visa ends on January 9 2025, I am planning on applying for the DTV Visa under soft power activity of Thai Cooking and renter Thailand with the DTV Visa in February 2025.

I’m quite worried I’ll be asked questions at the boarder.

Could anyone share their experience with being questioned due to their history of being in Thailand for long periods?

Could you guys share your opinions on if it’ll be fine or if you think it’s not smart to do this visa due to my previous long stays?

And if you got asked questions when entering with DTV Visa please let me know what they asked? So I can prepare myself

Thank you very much

Dates have changes and I will be arriving January 17 2021. I am looking for a Suite accomodation with a balcony and the ability to have a stationary exercise bike or treadmill in the room. Budget is about 50,000 TBH. Must have a good date change policy due to what’s happening.

I have Australian passport, will retire soon (>60yo), would like advice about the best visa solution for frequent long visits/stays in TL (~ 6 months/year). Visa runs to KL (from Surat Thani) seem OK to me, but maybe there are limits? Is the retirement visa trouble free? Thanks
