So as I understand it we can do 2 border bounces per calendar year. In practice though, what about the Lao border. I've never heard of anyone ever being denied entry there, under any circumstances. Can anyone advise on this? Thanks a lot...
Traveling to Vientiane via Udon Thani. Can you suggest or advise about travel from there to Vientiane proper? Are there still shuttles from airport to Nong Khai or border? Approximate cost? How about from the border into Vientiane? It's been a million years since I've gone and I forgot how to navigate this piece. Thanks for any suggestions. 🙏✌
(Confirmed appointment at Consulate, lodging, etc. Just need to get myself there!)
I am a US citizen currently in Thailand on a TR visa 30 day extension. Before the TR visa I was on an extension of stay based on an OA. The TR is a temporary solution until I return to the USA on Nov 1 and apply for an new OA.
So I need to cross the border by Sept 26 and buy another TR visa to cover the time to Nov 1. I was going to travel from Chiang Mai to Savannakhet for the new TR but having read about tourist visa denials I am concerned about applying at that crossing with my visa profile.
I would welcome any advice. If Savannakhet is problematic for me, what are my best alternatives from Chiang Mai? Kind thanks.
We have just been informed, today, Tuesday 25th July 2017, that countries with 90 days bilateral agreement with Thailand, namely, Brazil, South Korea, Peru, Argentina and Chile will not be stamped OUT/IN for anolther 90 days visa exempt at any Thai-Cambodian border. It is OK to do a border bounce if they are holder of multiple entry Tourist or Non Immigrant Visa. Thank you
