Later this month am visiting Laos from Northern Thailand for 2 nights as advised so I can return to Thailandas my family visa expires. Can someone please tell me how many days you get 30 or 60 days - believe changed to 60 a few months back but want to check. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers returning to Thailand from Laos can now receive a stay of 60 days under the visa exemption policy, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office. Experiences shared by recent travelers indicate that this policy has been positively received, with hassle-free immigration processes upon entry. It's advisable to have proof of accommodation and a flight back when re-entering Thailand.
My wife and I just returned from Luang Prabang, Laos π±π¦ on Thursday through Don Mueang Airport and we both got stamped in fir 60 days. No hassle at all, immigration officer was very nice just like when we arrived in January. Both times got 60 days. I am extremely grateful for their new policy. Hope they keep it.
did this trip a few weeks ago..spent 2 nights as required without an agency taking the
Thai - Lao Friendship Bridge No.4.. from Chiang Khong Th to Houayxay laos....
Given a paper notice re conditions upon reentry into Thailand , but other than 2 day mandatory stay ..nothing really needed upon return and received a visa exempt entry. Perhaps I should note that I had a tourist visa before that , but don't think that made much of a difference. Also had a sort of re entry permit with local Chiang Rai address stapled in PP..though many of the other folks entering had none of those, and no problems that I could see.
