Applied September 11 thursday but used an agent (ISSA COMPASS) so they submitted it on the 12th. No updates until the 26th, on the 26th they asked for proof of where my funds came from.
I don’t hold much liquid cash in my bank account so the last transaction on my latest statement showed a lump sum of cash transferred into it from my stock portfolio.
I showed proof of my stock portfolio with statements, sourcing where the funds came from.
October 2 - approved
I’m a travel live streamer and used that for the DTV application. I showed proof of income from kick (the platform I stream on) and stripe payments that I received the last year. I was travelling most of 2025. Luckily I opened up a new corporation for that in July when I came back home in Toronto and used it for additional evidence towards the visa. I also sent my resume as requested by issa & also a cover letter explaining my duties and job scope. Gst / hst corporation registration letters and also the articles of incorporation documents.
I highly recommend using ISSA COMPASS the agent, because as a new business owner and digital nomad they helped with every little detail on what I must provide to get the highest chances of approval. Especially with a kind of tricky not so known “job”.
It also has money back free guarantee. No I’m not sponsored or shilling them out. Just a genuine experience.
$650 CAD cost for the visa application
I think the agent takes around $160 but I found a discount code online, (idk what the code is anymore), to reduce it to only around $80 cad.
I mean approximately 2000 THB to do this whole service is pretty great to me.
Only thing is that they reply on Bangkok Time because they’re from there. So I would be receiving messages at midnight to 3 am EST. Luckily my sleep schedule works around this haha.
I assume it was also approved earlier during the day on Oct 1 EST time but the agent don’t get to you until their working hours. So whenever the embassy in Canada asks something you would have to wait until night to receive the agents response and submit it then. So it would add a day delay if that makes sense.
Weighing up options here, looking at an Elite Privilege Access visa or a LTR Wealthy Pensioner Visa(you don’t have to be that wealthy really). Also do you have to use an agent for the Elite Visa? If so any recommendations and rough costings, thanks in advance. Leaving on 6 July BTW. From Oz
