Hi! I'm unfortunately applying from KL. 2 questions about the Certificate of Employment:
1. What to include: other than the basics from a template is there something KL is going to require?
2. I'm US citizen for a US company, do I need to bring the docs to US embassy in KL to certified them? Anyone has any experience doing so?
Can anyone recommend a visa agent that has experience with KL?
Thank you so much and please wish me luck! 🥲

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the specifics of the Certificate of Employment required when applying for a visa from Kuala Lumpur, seeking advice on what additional details may be necessary beyond a standard template. They also ask whether they need to get the documents certified by the US embassy in KL, highlighting their status as a US citizen working for a US company. A commenter shares their experience, noting that they provided basic employment details without certification from the embassy, and received approval, also mentioning the need for a more detailed job description later.

I didn’t apply through KL but am American and work for a US company and they wrote a letter saying I was allowed to work freely in the world and my other basic info like start date and ongoing date, wage and info if they needed to contact me. Later I was also asked for a longer description of what my job was and I submitted and was approved. I didn’t get anything certified or go to the embassy at all.
