* Rang for an update a week later, the embassy staff were very helpful, and gave me a timeframe of 10 days to 1 month for approval (told me to email them a few business days before my flight if the status hadn't changed)
* Changed to pending approval on 30th October
* Approved on 5th November, no request for further documents
For context, I have a flight booked to arrive in Thailand on 18th November.
What documents I provided:
For proof of location:

For proof of work:
For this I made a multiple page pdf document including

ilovepdf is a life-saver when it comes to compressing large pdf documents while still keeping a good quality.
Would also recommend making sure that any scans of physical documents are very good quality.
Make sure all names and addresses match across all documents - if there are any variations (even small ones), include letters/clarification statements to explain.
I am applying in Australia online Canberra Embassy for Non O retirement visa, paid it, been almost 2 weeks and no response yet. Taking a lot longer this time. Maybe high season coming ?
Hi, I'm Australian on non O retirement first extension. Have met both 800 000 and more
than 65 000 each month but to change to monthly would I need consulate letter for proof of income? At the moment can change to marriage version, but wanted to take out all of the 800k
I applied for the DTV visa from Australia in mid-May, with a departure date to Thailand in mid-July. I still haven’t heard anything from them about my application, it has been on “pending approval” for about a month now.. any advice?
I’m a remote consultant working for a company that’s based in Australia, if that helps.
Has anyone had experience applying from the Australian embassy recently?
Soft power: Muaythai fever Chiang mai.(Derry from this group did the paperwork, very professionally)
I'm an Australian passport holder
Applied Friday March 14th evening
Wednesday 19th emailed to come in to Embassy for Appoinment on Thursday 20th 2 pm.
At appoinment I was asked strange questions e.g 1.Have you done muaythai before? (I said "yes" I have.) 2 .What is your job back in Australia?(I said I was unemployed, but my family owns a restaurant which I help run when I'm there, which is true. they then checked on google maps to see the restaurant) 3. If you have a child in Thailand why not apply for a non-o visa? (my daughter is about to turn 18 so I needed a different kind of visa) I answered truthfully to each question.
Thursday 6:15 pm Visa came through *APPROVED *
A very stressful 6 days, being in limbo.
Thanks for everyone that posted information here, it helped me out a lot.
Jakarta city: I'm sorry to say this but, Jakarta is a very quiet and boring place. I can't wait to leave., I wish I went to Bali instead.
Australia to the Canberra embassy. (I’m in Brisbane Australia).
I know it’s only been a week, but I have a flight booked on the 5th of February.
I read through this group extensively before applying so I included many, many additional documents, hoping to ensure a smooth a quick process.
I still have just over two weeks, but I was expecting to hear something, according to what other people’s experiences have been on here. (Seems to be done within a week)
Am I worrying for nothing?
*UPDATE*
I was approved yesterday without any further documentation required. Thankfully
I have asked this question before but it was some time ago when my partner was pregnant, I am an Australian and i now have thai twins to my partner, they were born on the 13 September, so yes there only a couple of months old, I was there for there birth and I am on there birth certificate and they have my last name, the question is about Australian citizenship by Decent, will it be easier to do through the embassy in Bangkok or do in Australia, and what does the process involve. If you have done something like this, any advise would be greatly appreciated.
