Approved in 5 business days (Canberra Australia Embassy)

Applied & paid on the 18th of Jan. Workcation, I run a business.

Asked for extra docs twice a few days after applying (basic proof of my business and updated bank statements)

I think my mistake was applying with my business bank instead of personal by accident since that's where I kept my funds.

Pending approval this morning and approved this afternoon! Grateful

originally I provided an invoice copy and a cover letting explaining my work etc (basic social media and talent management stuff) I explicitly stated I have no Thai clients, will not employ Thai people etc.

I used bank statements from my business bank account which had my trading name as well as personal name since I was the sole owner of the account and it had income etc as well as the 500k equivalent.

They requested my business registration so I sent an official ABN letter (from the government site) which had my name and business details etc.

They then requested updated bank statements a few hours later, possibly because it had been a week since my last statement I'm unsure.

I had moved funds to revolut to prepare for travel so I sent an official account confirmation letter (in revolut settings) + statements for last few months + cover letter explaining why I'd moved funds to that account and how this was a personal account now in case that helped. I used ChatGPT to make the wording appropriate and structured.

2 days later it was pending approval and approved later that day :) hope this helps.

I'm unsure for NSW because Sydney have a different consulate if you're from there

Thank You for your helpful report πŸ‘

Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

I have no idea if that's the reason why but it's my best guess :) they just asked for "bank statements updated"

you don’t need an agency it’s easy if you provide documentation and have the ability to write your own basic cover letter

I applied for a Multi entry as I'm self employed also thinking the DTV would be slower. Obviously not.
