TLDR : Answer Summary
A user has applied for a Non O retirement visa at the Canberra Embassy and noted a delay of nearly two weeks without a response, suspecting that it may be due to high season. Commenters indicate that while the official processing time is around 10 business days, actual times can vary significantly, with one user mentioning a 18-day wait. It's advised to remain patient and consider contacting the embassy for updates if no response is received.

Hate to brag, but l did my online application through Canberra last Tuesday 6.30am and received evisa 10.30am Thursday, non immigration O...l arrived Thailand Monday morning! l think maybe having put my flight down as departing Sunday it was rushed through, not sure, but extremely happy with the result.
l was very surprised when it arrived so quick. l have been several times before but only on visa on arrival and have a clean police record, but l believe the fact l had a flight booked so close to applying may have helped....
Hi Ralph. I recently did mine same location took 18 days. It moved really fast through document check and then sat at pending approval for nearly 2 weeks. If you email the general enquiries email address from the website you may get a response.
The processing time stated on the website is 10 business days; however, this is merely an estimate. You may wish to wait a little longer and contact them if you have not yet received any update by email.
