Looking to rent an Apartment in Bangkok City for multiple months, but thinking of using Airbnb..how much would I pay in premium? As an example if an apartment is say 1000$ pm, how much would this be listed for on Airbnb? I'm doing this because I don't want to commit to 12 months or pay a deposit..and want the assurance and flexibility of moving at will. Thoughts?

The question might be silly and out of place but I thought Dtv folk would get it. when looking for an apartment is okay to stay in a Airbnb or will it jeopardize my Dtv visa?

As a DTV holder, how feasible is it to rent a apartment/condo in bangkok for long term? Like minimum 2 years at least.

Assuming you return home every 180 days to avoid the hassle of extension, is it safe to leave your belongings in your rented place while you are away? Any dtv holders here who can chime in please?

Hi! (I hope it´s the right group for my question)

Wanna escape the smog in Chiang Mai from March to April (2 months)

Can you recommend some good places in Thailand?- South??

Requirements:

* No tourist area or less visited by tourists, yet not toooo boring

* Cheaper area (apartment and food - e.g.: apartment rent max. 6000 Baht per month? I know Chiang Mai is very cheap)

* Need strong WiFi (availabe everywhere in Thailand I guess)

* Gym available (weight-lifting )

* Beach nearby would be nice

TIA!

Anyone with a high-floor, sea-facing or city-facing apartment in central Pattaya that is available for short-term rent (one month), please contact me. A 1-bedroom penthouse would be ideal but I'm mostly interested in an amazing view with big windows and a balcony.
