Hi everyone! Has anyone had this situation with a Thailand tourist e-Visa?

If I apply for and receive the e-Visa using my current passport, then renew my passport before travelling, can I enter Thailand using the new passport + old passport + printed e-Visa?

The e-Visa would obviously show the old passport number.

Looking specifically for anyone who has actually done this recently. Did you have any issues with the airline at check-in or Thai immigration?

Land borders are usually fine when your DTV/re-entry story is consistent — problems show up when the trip looks like a stamp run with no stay pattern behind it. Passport, DTV docs, and a simple onward plan matter more than the vehicle. Same pack every exit beats a thicker folder you only assemble at the booth.

You have to take paperwork for your own car? We own it. And yes, we do have the blue book and everything.

I just made a post on this. You can do a same day bounce via chiang khong with DTV no problem. I just did it yesterday. 0 issues. Just tell Laos immigration you want to border run so they stamp you in and out. The whole process took <2 hours after parking, passing Thai side, required bus to cross the bridge, Laos paperwork, bus back to Thai side, and then Thai immigration and walk to parking lot. Easy and fast!
