What is the experience of crossing the border from Laos to Thailand on a DTV visa?
Little feedback on my border crossing at Nong Khai today.
I’ve been on a DTV (Soft Power) for almost a year. I did my first border trip by plane 6 months ago, and today was my first time doing it by land.
Everything went very smoothly. I got my new 180-day stamp without any questions or issues.
The whole process took less than 30 minutes, from leaving Laos immigration to entering Thailand with my new stamp.
Very cheap, very easy, and much simpler than I expected. I hope this can reassure anyone on a DTV who is considering doing a land border crossing for the first time.

I personally stayed 4 days in Vientiane, but i think 1 night would be fine. I never tried a same day trip yetActivity
