Can I return to Thailand on another visa exemption stamp after a land border crossing to Laos?

Question

I have had an airport entry to Thailand earlier this year and entered via a 60 day free visa exemption stamp, then i left Thailand by plane.
 Now I'm back in Thailand again now , I entered again this time by airport and currently on another free visa exemption stamp. 
My question is,   if I go into Laos by bridge  crossing for a few days or a week,  will they allow me to return to Thailand via the friendship bridge on another visa exemption stamp ?
Considering this would be my first ever land border crossing/entry,   but it still would be my 3rd visa exempt stamp for this calendar year. 
I would also have a genuine paid and booked plane ticket back to Australia. 
Probably up to the immigration officer at the time of entry,  but what do you think??

I'll re write this a bit more accurately.

May last year I arrived by plane and stayed 30 days.

Then in December last year I arrived again by plane and stayed 55 days leaving in January this year .

Then I arrived this year by plane in April and stayed 45 days.

Then arrived again this year by plane in August and I'm still here now.

All entries by plane and always on visa exempt stamps .

No extensions.

My question is before this exemption expires,  can I go into Laos by road and return to Thailand again by road?

Will they allow me another visa exemption stamp??   Thanks everyone

First off do you have history of being in Thailand in the latter half of last year? Have both your visa exempt entries this year been extended?

We don't really know how land crossing will play out yet as the changes only happen tomorrow, but if you've already spent 180 days in Thailand on visa exempt stamps I'd be surprised if you get another one
