Just a quick question. Will a bus ticket out of Thailand be acceptable for onward travel? Will arrive on visa exempt as haven't got time to sort out other visa options. Hoping to fligh on a one way and get a bus ticket out of Thailand within the 30 days.

Hi, so I'm doing my visa (tourist) run to Penang shortly, and been told i need outbound flight ticket (paid) to prove i leave Thailand within my visa validity dates.. I will no doubt be getting a bus out of the country, and not flying. Can somebody please tell me, from recent experience, if a paid bus ticket is sufficient enough to prove I'm leaving Thailand? Any advice is very much appreciated. It seems silly i have to have a booked flight considering most people travel around by land when in SE Asia. Thanks for any advice in advance!

Where can I find the timetable for the bus from Chiang Mai to Mae Sai?

And do you need to book a ticket in advance? Or can you just get it at the bus station before the trip?
