Hi

I looked up the search function already but I cannot find anything.

Can anybody suggest a page where I can book a bus ticket from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia? With low price tickets.

Just to show I have a booked ticket leaving Thailand for applying for my tourist visa.

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is looking for affordable options to book a bus ticket from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia, specifically as proof of onward travel for a tourist visa application. Suggestions include using Air Asia for flights, booking via sites like Baolau or 12go.asia, and discussing the validity of bus tickets versus flight tickets as proof for immigration. Some participants recommend refundable flight tickets as a safer option to avoid issues with immigration officials.

Just get a plane ticket to show from onward travel. It’s £10 and way easier

Similar to most things in Thailand, I think it’s a bit of luck on who you get and what they ask for 😕

once you receive the “onward ticket”, use it to go onto the official website, ie Qatar Airways was my ticket, input booking ref num-surname etc and email the actual itinerary to yourself with the airline logo on it 😉

I booked a ticket with Kiwi.

Air Asia to Siem Reap.

The PNR does not work on the web page of Air Asia. I should call help desk.

So it will not work with onward ticket service either.

Maybe if you book with qatar or Thai airways you can acces their system.

But with Air Asia not

As Wikitravel mentions:

Proof of onward transit :- long happily ignored by Thai immigration, has been known to be strictly applied in some instances (Indian passport holders beware). The requirement is for an international flight itinerary - NOT train, ferry, or other departure type. Airlines, who have to pay for your return flight if Thai immigration doesn't let you into the country, also check this and often will not let you board your flight for Thailand without it.) A print-out of an international e-ticket on a budget airline is sufficient to convince the enforcers, but those planning on continuing by land may have to get a little creative. Buying a fully refundable ticket and getting it refunded once in Thailand is also an option. Land crossings, on the other hand, are a very straightforward process and proof of onward journey is generally not required (Indian passport holders beware again... or anyone, if the border officials simply decide to uphold the bureaucracy).

From ThaiEmbassy.com (not the official website of the Thai embassy):

They must have a confirmed return ticket to show that they are flying out of Thailand within 30 or 15 days of entry, as appropriate. Open tickets do not qualify. Travelling overland out of Thailand by train, bus, etc to Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia (including en route to Singapore), Myanmar, etc is not accepted as proof of exiting Thailand.

Bus ticket can not be checked online>

try and get a thai visa with a bus ticket>

Good luck

it will work. We have done this. If they demand to see a ticket just buy a refundable one at the airport and cancel it

you can try, I hope it will be accepted for the visa application. As a Thai bus actually never crosses the border to Cambodia (left hand-right hand)

Andreas Mueller Incorrect, you can book bus tickets from Thailand to Cambodia or Laos, the right/left hand drive has nothing to do with it. Many buses cross to Laos at Mukdahan/Savannakhet or Ubon/Chong Mek and into Cambodia at Chong Chom and Chong Sangam

In the past cross border bus & train tickets have been acceptable as long as the ticket states the final destination is outside Thailand, & it shows the appropriate travel date.
