Online info on Thai visas is generally out of date and not synchronized with actual requirements of Immigration at the Bangkok airports. In Taipei I scurried about to prepare documents for Visa on Arrival, following online instructions, and then after arriving I was told that those rules were no longer valid. All I needed was my passport (USA in my case) and boarding pass for 45-day visa exemption. So to celebrate I went straight to my favorite little restaurant on the first floor of Tharathip Mansion near Ari and Saphan Khwai stations. The best spring rolls in Bangkok! Delicious Chinese noodles-and-ham dish too...

Changing O/A to O visa retirement:

My O/A visa expired yesterday so i flew to Phnom Penn and returned back to DMK airport today.

I was armed with loads of back-up paperwork Covid Vax certifcate flight out of Thailand and 20,000 baht cash and I was greeted by an extremely polite I.O. Officer who asked for NOTHING no questions whatsoever just stamped my passport for 45 days visa exempt and said with a big smile welcome back Mr. Malcolm.

Special thanks to this group in particular Stewart Cumming for his help and advice 👍🏻🙏🏻

Has anyone flown through Singapore (SIN) on any Major airline and transition to Scoot Airlines there to Bangkok (BKK). Like to know your experience with your connection to Scoot, like baggage handling, reconnection to board, any other problems or recommendations, etc. Thank you in advance. "Happy Travels."

Just want to give some feed back to people who are wondering what its like to be back in Thailand. Thai pass is simple, extremely easy to do and I don’t think makes much difference for your trip to before covid. I landed at 7.30am and the airport was extremely simple. Showed my Thai pass and was let through. All together it took 40minutes from landing to getting out the other side! Anyone who is not sure JUST DO IT, life is short and Thailand is waiting for you 😜

Hi everyone - can’t find an answer on any of the other Facebook pages or sites. With the new May 1st rules, if traveling with a child, a one year old, do they need a PCR test before departure? It seems the way to the THailand pass is set up, that they do, but it seems incorrect.

Is there a problem to register for Thailand Pass if I only have one vaccination certificate (issued in the EU), which mentions the 3 doses (2+booster)? Because I see that Thailand Pass requires separate certificates for dose 1 and dose 2 and I don't have them separately. Anyone who tackled that issue successfully?

Hi everyone.

Before leaving Thailand I tested positive but I already had my Thai pass issued and printed out.

Fully recovered, now I'm planning on returning to Thailand. What should I do?

Can I use the same Thai pass on my return or should I reapply.

What're the best and worst case scenarios?

Thanks for any contributions.

Hello,

Thank you for your help in advance.

My contract with a school here in Thailand has ended and so they are required to cancel my Non-B and work permit very soon. I would like to stay in Thailand but not have to sign up with a new school just yet. I have no idea what the visa process is right now for extensions or conversions, but I'm sure there must be a better way forward than me having to leave Thailand and try to re-enter with a tourist visa.

Please advise if I can convert my Non-B into a tourist visa without leaving the country or get some kind of extension, or what my next step should be? Are borders open? Does Laos require quarantine on their side if I do have to go? Can I maybe get 30 days on entry without having to get a tourist visa? If I have a home here do I still need to do a hotel quarantine when I come back into Thailand?

Best Regards,

Kayla
