Hi, was wondering if anyone has applied for the DTV from Chile or South America? Any recommendations?

Im planning to move to Thailand in january, I have 2 questions:

1. When should I apply for it? Will 3 months be ok?

2. Once I get the visa, do I have to arrive in the country at a specific time or date?

Hi Everyone, I have a friend from Chile who wants to come to Thailand. Chileans have 3 months visa free. Does anyone know if a border bounce is possible after this to get another 3 months? Or is it possible to get an extension once in the country to total 4 months? Let me know if 3 month visa free work any differently than the countries with the shorter 1 month visa free. Thanks!!!!!
