I'm planning to get my DTV visa in Vientiane, Laos. I recently reached the 500k baht minimum, so I'm a bit worried I won't comply with the 6-month account balance mininmum? Or is that not a problem?

I'm a freelancer. What do I need to submit on the evisa site to make sure I have everything covered?

Embassies have started to call people in for an interview in person. Recently happened with friends that applied for the DTV in Frankfurt, Germany. After 3-4 weeks in the process. No further documents asked in the eVisa portal. So be careful when you apply from abroad. 😉

I applied 14th of Dec and still pending.

I have plans to return to Thailand in April 2025. I want to apply for the DVT visa, but I’m seeing you have to arrive within 3 months of approval. So do I wait to apply? Go for it now since it will take time to get approved? I won’t be back in my home country ( USA) for another 8 weeks. Apply then? Not staying long in home country, only 3 weeks then I’m off again. I definitely need accurate advice.

I m trying to gather all informations about DTV, I am currently in Thailand, with a tourist visa entry, I was hoping to get the best alternative to apply, if I understood good, you can’t apply for Thailand if you area already here ? What would be the best procedure and steps to follow? To extend my visa and leaves the country by the end of it apply from a border country? Ida there any “better” country to do this from?
