First entry dtv didnt print anything out just handed them passport at BKK i guess they can just see it on the screen no questions asked. Results may vary though just my experience 🤷‍♂️

Walked in first time with the DTV on my phone. Rolled into the country 20 odd times in 14 months with DTV on my phone. Didn’t laminate garbage. They check your DTV against what they have on screen whether that’s your A3 laminated printout or on your phone screen.

i just prefer to keep it simple just hand passport over literally your entire life story shows up on their screen when they scan your passport lol no need to print something out

I don't understand the reticence so many DTV holders seen to have against printing out the PDF that was emailed to you when your Visa was approved (because that PDF actually is your visa) and presenting it along with your passport when you stamp into the country. :/

for myself i find the more things you print out your just going to create confusion for the immigration officer and possible problems. Best solution is just hand them the passport. One of my favorite strategies in life “keep it simple”

And you checked your stamp right? to make sure you got stamped in for 180 days and it says DTV e Visa?

People should always check their passport stamp in their passport before leaving the booth regardless but there have been multiple instances of people with eVisas assuming that immigration was aware and the ended up getting stamped in under visa exempt. If you end up accidentally overstaying for 90 days or more you’re SOL as it’s a minimum 1 year ban from the country.

99.99% of people will have the exact same experience as you had. Yes, there have been credible reports of people being stopped and questioned. That can be both random and targeted. The only confirmed reports of people being stopped, questioned, and barred from entry were of people who were signed up to a gym they had never attended. When Immigration called that gym, they were unknown.

True Greg. However, we only know that immigration called their gym who reported the facts. Possibly their immigration history or maybe 'soft intelligence' triggered the check. Nobody, including the gym owner knows the reason for denial of entry. Therefore, it hasn't been established that not being enrolled (or not attending) a course can result in denial of entry.
