TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, Thailand offers a few options for long-term visas such as the DTV Visa, LTR Visa, and Privilege Visa, which can last up to 5 years. Requirements vary by nationality, so it's recommended to check the specifications at your local Thai embassy or consulate website.

It does. Golden Visa, 5, 10, 20 years. It is about 8,000 THB a month for the right to breath Thai air. All else is your cost.

You can enter your nationality and check at NomadVisa.help

Yes, a couple of them.

Your question can be answered correctly by your country’s Thai embassy only.

For some countries the answer is yes, for others it’s no.

what's the point of a visa advice page if your advice is to look elsewhere? 🤣🤣🤣

so you don't get 50 different answers. If a person applies through the Embassy they will get exactly the information they need as each Embassy has their own requirements. That's why.

if you don't agree with a group, why are tou in it? 🤷‍♂️ There are extremely knowledgeable people here who do give the correct answers provided they have all the information. Then there are those that think they know, who should learn when they are corrected. Some don't learn 🤷‍♂️ But this is an advice group, and when advice is asked, either you know and give that advice or just whizz on past 🤷‍♂️

There are a few options for a 5 year visa. You’d need to check the requirements for each at your local Thai embassy or consulate website. Check out DTV, LTR or the Privilege Visa specifications and requirements.

does Thailand recognize common law marriage?

@Graham *****
Does this mean that just because we are married to a Thai woman we would be eligible for a DTV visa?
John *******
@Pierre ********
- No, this means if a foreign national has a DTV, his or her foreign spouse can also apply under the spouse who has the DTV

dtv has got nothing to do with marriage status.
