Asking for a friend who has just realised that he read his exit stamp wrong and is now on 7 days of overstay already.

His plan was to apply for DTV in Hanoi next week and was just finalising all the paperwork.

What's his best plan of action now? Does he just head straight to the airport and pay the fine when leaving? I'm assuming he doesn't want to try and sort anything at the local immigration office?

Will the overstay affect DTV application at all? He's had an exemplary record up until this mistake.

OK so TM30 question. I am living working in Thailand on a multiple entry work visa that expires in October (been here almost a year.) My landlord has not yet filed a TM30 but I have not yet been fined as I never did a 90 day report (always ended up having a holiday outside the country before the deadline came). However, in October I will most likely have to renew my visa and from what I understand it will become an issue then. Since I missed the 24 hour reporting deadline when I last entered, I am sure no matter what I will have to pay some sort of fine. However I am interested in getting the app so I can handle this on my own. My question is, how do I get the app? Do I have to have my landlord submit the TM30 first, then go to immigration to pay the fine, and THEN sign up for the app? Do I have to get something in person from immigration to sign up for the app? And once I have the app, will I be able to keep my TM30 stuff current no matter where I go without having to actually waste a whole day at Chaengwattana? Thanks, and sorry if all the context was excessive or unnecessary.

Need an advice urgently!

I went for Visa extension today (Non-B 1year)!

When officer started checking my passport and documents, there was some trouble which still makes me confused. I got my degree from Bangkok University, and been on Ed visa for 4 years! After that, i got TR visa(3 months*2 times), then finally i got a Non-B (3months)! The problem was my last Non-Ed stamp, which i got on 9th October 2015 until 11October 2016! I finished my studies in July, and stayed in country until my Non- ed visa expired (11th October 2016)! All my paperwork from work is completely fine, but the officers told me that my university transcript says that my date of leaving was 30th of July 2016! After that I can't stay in country even though my visa stamp was until October!

So I've been told that i have Overstay for 3 months (from july 30th:last day of studies- 11th October (last day of visa stamp)) and. Ow i need to pay 20.000baht!

What is wrong here? My university advisors are also confused with this issue caused by officers' decision!

Your advice will be so appreciated
