Asking for a friend who has just realised that he read his exit stamp wrong and is now on 7 days of overstay already.

His plan was to apply for DTV in Hanoi next week and was just finalising all the paperwork.

What's his best plan of action now? Does he just head straight to the airport and pay the fine when leaving? I'm assuming he doesn't want to try and sort anything at the local immigration office?

Will the overstay affect DTV application at all? He's had an exemplary record up until this mistake.

Good day. If this question is not for this group, please forgive me and skip...

I made a mistake with booking my flight, and now I will have an 1 day overstay. What will be the best way to resolve this error?
