I have a medical visa and was told from the immigration that I can get a further extension of 30 days.

If it's difficult for me to fly, is there any chance that I could be given an exception and get a longer extension?

Does anyone know??šŸ™

Ok Guys, this will come to us all so please read.

Those of us, long term residents of Thailand, who see Thailand as ā€œhomeā€™ will, if we survive, reach an age of infirmity, be it physical or mental, where the annual trip to Immigration is impossible, as will the efforts of obtaining the necessary paperwork required to support the yearly extension. Question then, what is the solution? Is there a procedure in place to accommodate us, someone must have been there and done all this already, or is it all down to a Law firm or Thai family to take up the battle with immigration?

Hi, I came to Thailand 21.11.2020 and I stayed in Koh Lanta to end of June. I have O visa and I got my one year extension from Krabi. I moved to Samui closer to hospital 1.7.2021. Someone told me that I have to do my 90 days report in Krabi and someone told I have to do in Samui. I got lots of different answers from people. So Krabi or Samui? I tried to do it online but no, same same like before, system error.

I have cancer and I don't have immunity at all and I get chemo on Monday so I feel REALLY sick šŸ¤¢ about 5 days after that and my report day is 8.9.2021.

So what I should do? Samui or Krabi? Can someone else do it for me because I am really sick?

Thank you all information šŸ™

Hi, my friend was due to leave Thailand (visa expiring) on Thursday, and sheā€™s just come down with dengue fever. Sheā€™s in hospital. Weā€™re on an island and she canā€™t get to an immigration office, let alone the border. Anyone have experience getting an extension or exemption under such a circumstance? Over the phone? She wants to be able to return in future so doesnā€™t want a red stamp, but sheā€™s way too sick to travel now (or even use her phone, so Iā€™m posting for her!) Advice appreciated. (Sheā€™s on a tourist visa, already extended. Nearest imm office is Samui (different island) in case that makes a difference...)

Long time follower of this very informative group. I am considering living in Thailand after retirement with my Thai wife. My question is regarding health issues. Would any of these health issues that are on my record deny me of retiring in Thailand ? Cancer survivor, stroke with no debilitating repercussions, diabetes(under control)with insulin.

My "buddy" from the UK has been sick in and out of hospital...

Maybe once every couple weeks sometimes has to stay...

Its wiped him out financially, his insurance expired, hes heavily medicated and its hard to travel...

"Hes" 62 days over visa...

Scared and struggling, please advise on what will happen, no scare mongering please and please only give advise if you are sure ir almost certain its correct.

He wants to go to cambodia pay the fine and hopefully get back to Thailand in the near future.

Because "hes" unwell a detentiom center would probably make him extremely sick and could result in something catastrophic.

What should he do?

Thank you so much for any advice

Re-registered my address in Phuket Town this morning. Arrived in BKK on Sept 25th and spent four nights in a hotel before returning to Phuket on Sat 29th. Went to report on Mon 1st but was missing one form (PoA) and was to return next day. That night became very ill with flu, managed to get to hospital on Thurs 4th. Asked for medical certificate which specified number of days Iā€™d been ill plus how many to recuperate. Returned to immigration today, immigration officer was going to fine me, telling me it was strictly 24 hours. I politely explained, gave the medical certificate and all was forgiven. No fine, registration received OK.
