Hi all! how long does the show money have to be in the account for, when you apply in Jakarta? I’m a 21 year old foreign student in Singapore, my family stores our money through a friend’s bank account and in turn he sends me my monthly budget. Basically my father doesn’t just let me have tens of thousands of cash laying in my bank account.

But I’ll have to adjust accordingly and store it in advance if I need to. Hope someone can clear this up for me, thanks!

Went to Changwattana Imm today to collect my non O spouse yearly extension after the 21 day "consideration period"

Handed over my passport and updated bankbook.

She handed back my bankbook saying " not needed"...?

4 minutes later she handed back my passport with year extension stamped init.

I asked is it necessary to keep 400k in bank for 21 day con period now?

Answer was... "We don't check anymore but it's a good idea to... "

I give up on it making sense anymore..

Hello All,

My question is about the financial requirements for the type O-Retirement 12 month extension.

I have two Bangkok bank accounts, one for my visa requirement (account 1) and another for standard living expenses (account 2).

I just transferred 800,000 baht into my account 1 for the visa requirement, from the US, two months prior to my 12 month application of course.

I would like to transition to the monthly 65,000 baht requirement deposit so as not to keep the 800,000 baht in account 1 forever, just keeping account 1 with 800,000 for only one year while the monthly requirement is proven.

If I start transferring 65,000 baht, or more, to account 1 from the US for twelve months. Then move that 65,000 out and over to account 2 for living expenses. Does that meet the financial requirement?

Does it matter that the 65,000 baht is from a pension or can it be from my US savings account?

Does immigration require proof the 65,000 baht comes from a standard pension or do they just require a deposit from outside Thailand? My pension does not meet the 65,000 baht requirement but my US savings account does.

My hopeful result is transferring 65,000 baht from the US, monthly, to account 1 for as long as I live in Thailand.

Then move the 65,000 to account 2 and spend it to live here.

Not keeping 800,000 in account 1 once the monthly requirement is met.

Thanks in advance for your knowledge.

Hi is anyone getting a retirement visa extension using transfer from abroad of over ฿ 65,000 per month. I transfer over ฿80,000 every month and last November Transfer Wise had an issue and it showed ฿ 95,000 as a Local Transfer instead of Foreign Transfer. Will Immigration accept if I show them twelve months statements of over ฿ 80,000 if one month is showing the wrong category?

entering on a tourist exemption visa and hopefully will change it over to a marriage visa, I am aware I have to have 400,000 in a Thailand bank account for 2 months before I can apply for marriage visa,

my question is can I spend the 400,000 after marriage visa is granted or does it have to stay in the bank so that every year when I go to immigration they have to see the money in the account?

I'm currently on a 60-day extension "to visit family". It expires on 27/11. I really need another 60 days before I will be ready for the one year extension to take care of Thai child. I'll have the financial requirement ready by 27/01/2021.

Will I have any problem getting that 60-day Covid extension at Chiang Mai Immigration and if not, how early can I go to get the extension and what documents do I need? Thanks in advance.

Just out of interest,

If my next years extension was denied due to my financial mistake

(My bank balance fell below 800,000 for a day or 2 during the 90 after period)

What would my options be?

Would I have to start again with a new non O visa?

From my home country or somewhere else?
