According to the Los Angeles consulate, A requirement to obtain a Non- O visa is to have a return flight ticket to the United States. Can anyone tell me why this is and when you have to show you have the ticket? Once I am in Thailand I have no plans to return to the US at any point in the near future. So what do I do with the ticket or do you buy a return ticket that is refundable?
I was requested additional documents on my application:
* Some of them I already submitted in the original application (I will resubmit)
* But they requested the flight ticket which I didn't buy yet
Providing a flight proof in advance sounds insane! Is this normal? As far as I know, having a flight ticket is not listed among the requirements of the DTV application, is it?
I would expect to spend my money on a flight only after I have been granted a visa, not before. Buying a flight upfront means I incur the risk of losing a lot of money if my DTV is denied for any reason.
Is it a common thing that they request a mandatory flight ticket to get the DTV granted? I will explore options for refundable flights, though, just in case.
But... If I buy a flight for February (as I stated in my application), I get the DTV approved, BUT I finally move to Thailand later (like JUNE), will I have any problems getting in? (I definitely don't think I can move end of February)
Hi there! I applied for the DTV as Spanish citizen on December 30. On January 15 I got requested more documents. Today January 26 I was about to answer.
Some of the docs they request, like bank statements for last 3 months, I had already provided them initially to my application. Or "a concise overview of your professional activities during your stay in Thailand".
I already provided a cover letter explaining all (Remote Software Engineer).
I will upload same docs again.
BUT additionally, they request me the flight ticket to Thailand, which I didn't buy it yet because before purchasing any flight I wanted to have the DTV accepted. Only then spend more money in a flight.
WHAT should I do in this case? What do I attach? I ignore it? I attach a short letter telling that I will purchase the flight once my DTV is granted?
P.S. It's not even clear to me when I will move to Thailand. If I get the Visa granted, I plan to go before June, but in my application I put end of February. If they deny my DTV (though they shouldn't as I meet the requirements), I'm not buying a flight for the moment.
Hello, I have a Cypriot passport and planning to visit Thailand for a Yoga Teaching Training course in September that lasts 27 days, and i'm interested in staying for a few more days to explore Thailand. I would appreciate if you could please advise on the below:
1. Which type of Visa i should apply; Tourist Visa or Non Immigrant or other.
2. Also, I have read on some websites that in order to enter Thailand, i need to present a flight ticket to another country on the 15th day of my visit. Kindly advise if i need to interrupt the course and leave the country in order to re-enter and if a flight ticket needs to be prebooked.
3. In order to apply for a Visa do i need to have both entry and exit flight tickets booked?
4. Can i apply for a 60 day Visa directly or 30 day and then request an extension?
I just visited the CW immigration today for my third 60 days covid extension, and unfortunately I get rejected. (Wondering if I am the first person who gt rejected here 🥲)
With the reason ‘We only provide the extension twice. You were given 4 months to plan your departure’. Fyi my first extension was in July, then Sept. I was on non B prior to this.
Since my current extension will be expired on 7th Nov, the officer advised me to get my flight ticket back to my home country, Malaysia asap. She told me that she can provide another extension only if I can provide my ticket.
Yet I’m still looking for new job and have no plan to leave the Kingdom.
Can anyone please give me some advises? Thanks in advance.
