Hi everyone,

Regarding the DTV visa application:

The application requires proof of a flight ticket, accommodation address, and return/onward ticket. However, usually booked only after the visa is approved.

What should I provide in the application if I haven’t booked my flight and accommodation yet? What type of flight ticket and address are acceptable?

Have a look through the posts, but recent ones suggest you only need the money in your account ten days at the Thai Embassy in London.

What do you mean by “permanent move”? DTV is still a tourist visa. Is your primary motive is to move here rather than to attend and learn Muay Thai with DTV ?

If you apply in the UK the funds only need to be in your account for a couple of weeks even though you still have to show 3 months of statements. However it's very likely you will have to show how you can support yourself for the duration of the visa over and above the 500k (which is seen more as an emergency fund)

the 500k is no emergency fund. It is the money they consider you need to support yourself on a 180 day stay since when you spply for Muay Thai you are not required to show proof of income

GrayWallaby8130 it's not listed as a requirement but that doesn't mean they're not going to ask. 500k baht is nowhere near enough to live on for the 5 years duration of the visa

Yeah. I think it’s one of the reasons you have to leave Thailand before 180 days so they can enforce it when you come back.
