If I’m going for the DTV by needing to do a Thai soft power activity, how often do I need to do it? I understand it needs to be a 6 month course but does it need to be everyday? Once a week, once every two weeks?

Looking at cooking classes and Muay Thai?

I was giving up the ghost, applied 20th December, London, pretty extensive financials (worcation), asked for more stuff on the 7th Jan, advised up to 15 days or more (which means nothing) the dilemma was do I not fly on 21st and cancel flight plans, or fly have to start again re visa, worry about getting entry or not....

I thought my next stage from document check 1 was going to be pending approval, well this afternoon the weight has indeed lifted, straight to approval email and attachment...

Want to thank majority of this group who are helpful and informative, gratitude and love

Hi everyone I just check out the DTV requirements and need your help on some clarification. Right now I just visited Chiang Rai and wanted to learn cooking class and cultural manufacturing class like whiskey, food and other farming manufacturing which was one of my dream goals.

I saw on the DTV requirements course there is Cooking classes.

Is there anyone on the group who can help with more details.

Do the immigration provide us with a specific company or should I need to search for cooking class towards local with permit please as I am confused about it

Thank you for all help and God Bless🙏

I will be applying for the remote work DTV visa in Hanoi next week and I have a couple questions.

For anyone who applied in Vietnam and had additional documents requested, what documents where they, and do you know why you needed to show additional documents?

I am a US citizen who has lived in Thailand on a non-o visa in Thailand for the past year, and I am applying from Vietnam, so which address do I need to use for my document indicating current location. I am assuming this is my passport entry stamp for Vietnam?

if husband and wife each get approved for a separate dtv visa, is 1,000,000 baht needed in their joint account? or is 500,000 baht sufficient?

can anyone clarify if dtv dependents need income verification, and are they also allowed to do soft power?

is there a certain monthly income requirement that's needed for proof, in addition to the mandatory 500,000 thai baht, for the spouse dependent? like in reference to the required bank statements - are they seeking a certain amount?

What’s the deal with flight and accommodation requirements for the DTV? Do I actually need a flight booked? I’m planning to fly to Thailand after Tết in Vietnam, but if I don’t get the DTV, there’s no reason to book a flight until it’s confirmed. Also, I’ve noticed some places asking for proof of accommodations in Thailand. How am I supposed to provide that if I’m not there yet and can’t rent a place? It feels like a chicken-and-egg situation. Any advice?

I’ll be applying in Ho Chi Minh.

Hi, my dear community,

Got a 5-year DTV visa for Thailand (digital nomad/freelancer). Applied in Penang after trying in Kuala Lumpur. Penang had more knowledgeable people who knew about freelancing.

Good luck, everyone! You deserve it, and you're an asset to any country's economy if you go there.
