I was giving up the ghost, applied 20th December, London, pretty extensive financials (worcation), asked for more stuff on the 7th Jan, advised up to 15 days or more (which means nothing) the dilemma was do I not fly on 21st and cancel flight plans, or fly have to start again re visa, worry about getting entry or not....
I thought my next stage from document check 1 was going to be pending approval, well this afternoon the weight has indeed lifted, straight to approval email and attachment...
Want to thank majority of this group who are helpful and informative, gratitude and love

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of applying for a Thailand Digital Nomad Visa from London, highlighting the emotional ups and downs of waiting for approval. After initially feeling anxious about their application submitted on December 20th and being asked for additional documents on January 7th, they received an approval email, lifting a significant weight off their shoulders. Comments from other users revealed their own experiences and inquiries about the process, including timelines for approval, the necessity of including flight details in the application, and advice about proving the visa at check-in and immigration.
i can't say if a flight is needed, I did have one and did show it, mines taken 4 weeks with holidays included, your innfor a scary stressful ride in my opinion for a 3 week approval, get it right first time would be my advise
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
Congrats John! This gives me hope mate - thank you for posting. I see a lot of Laos and Hanoi posts, but not to many London ones. I applied on 24th. Dec. Request for further docs on 8th. Supplied on 8th. Still nothing on 16th.
