APPROVED IN HANOI AS A REMOTE WORKER šŸŽ‰

Hey all! I wanna thank everyone in this group for sharing all your information. With everything gathered here, plus some work experience with Thai authorities, I helped my BF apply for his visa and the process went very smoothly. I hope the way I arranged the docs can help y’all navigate your applications too! If you have any questions, I’m happy to help.

Timeline: processing time 2.5 days

8 Dec he flew to Vietnam - we applied on the same day at 23.00

10 Dec - the application went from document check to pending approval

11 Dec - approved at 15.30

No additional docs requested, docs submitted in each section below:

Docs indication current location

* Flight reservation to VN + payment confirmation

* Boarding pass

* Biodata passport page + entry stamp page

* Hotel reservation + payment confirmation

Financial evidence

* 3 months (Jun-Aug) Russian bank statement with a consistent fund of more than 500K + highlighted the salary received in RUB + bank certificate showing the ending balance

* 3 months (Sep-Nov) American bank statement showing salary received in USD, the account was inactive that's why we showed a total of 6-month statement

* Payslips from Jun-Nov, paid in RUB then USD respectively

* Added a ā€œmotivation/explanation letterā€ explaining why he wants to be in Thailand and clarifying why he earns his salary in 2 different currencies (RUB and USD from June–Dec depending on where he is located, due to financial sanctions affecting Russian banks)

Docs relating to employment

* Work contract signed by him and his boss

* His CV

* An employment letter from his boss allowing him to work remotely

* Company registration

* Boss’s ID

PS: he’s been living in Thailand with exemption visas and 1 extension from March 2024-June 2025. He went home, applied for a new passport, and came back to Thailand in September.

Good luck everyone with your applications!

The 10th was a holiday and the embassy wasn't working I was told? 2.5 days is amazing, very lucky!

Do you think him having a new passport without visa exemption stamps helped him to get the DTV? Are the authorities likely to question why you were in Thailand on visa exemptions previously, if they see the stamps?
