DTV Workation, EU Citizen, remote business started few years ago.

5th May - I arrived to Hanoi

8th May - I applied for DTV for workation

13th May - status changed to pending approval

15th May - rejected (no reason given). I went to embassy and asked them personally, after she checked my document, she said - "Change an embassy". That was a bit ridiculous but I did what she said.

23rd May - I arrived to Vientiane (Laos)

24th May - I applied again

26th May - I was asked for an additional document which I provided but in better quality (passport bio page)

26th May after about 1 hour - status changed to pending approval

26th May after another 1 hour - I was invited for interview

5th June - Interview and visa approved.

Interview Question:

* What kind of plans do you have to spend time in Thailand?

* Show me account with your invoice payments

* Show me account where you have a balance over 500k

* Show me what do you do, examples of your work

Key tips:

* Dress well, be polite and elegant, very important thing in my opinion

* Take your laptop or print everything what you have provided

* Double check if your mobile apps are working to show your statements or bank balance

* Smile (yes, really), don't go there like you would go to jail, this helps in my opinion

I hope that will help other people.

Depends on where you got married have a Thai bank acc in your name, it's not easy first time as marriage has to be regonised by local.Amphur and your passport has to be certified then Foregin Affsirs needs to see all info, we used a company in Bangkok to do the FA and Embassy visits think it was 2 000 baht all up, did a great job we received all certified and stamped and lawyer profile etc ,then off to the local Amphur and now all on file there for our letter each year saying yes we are married 21 years now. The rest of the paperwork for immigration a few pics together at home plus in front of home by letter box and map how to get here from.immigration Maha sarakham.

yeah..a non O for retirement only requires you transfer over 65 thousand a month ....which you can spend. If you are qualified...go for that. (optionally deposit 800,000 instead). You don't need agencies....it's not difficult. The non O using marriage gets the heavy review.

Marcos Ferreira . . . . For the 90-days Non-Imm-O Family Visa application OUTSIDE of Thailand, you can show original income or pension documents. Or a minimum of 400,000 THB equivalent in your country's currency in your home bank account.

In Thailand on Immigration, as a citizen of a country whose embassy is not issuing income affidavits anymore, you cannot use the proof of income.

You would only have one option left for the application to the first year 1-year extension: a deposit of a minimum of 400,000 THB, but they need to have been sitting in your Thai bank account since two months on the day you apply. In this case you do NOT need to prove that the money came from abroad.

*** The requirements differ, if you apply for the "change of visa type" from a touristic entry to the initial 90-days Non-O Family Visa inside Thailand. In this case you must have 400,000 THB already sitting in your Thai bank account on the day you apply for the “change”, and you need to prove that the deposit came from abroad.

1.) Do you already have a Thai Bank Account? if so, then any Extension of Stay from any local Thai Immigration Office inside Thailand has an Application Fee of ฿1900 Baht

2.) if you do NOT have a Thai Bank Account, then Exit out of Thailand and obtain a Non–O E–Visa based on having a Thai Spouse from a Thai Embassy or Thai Consulate outside of Thailand and the Non–O E–Visa Fee is ฿2000 Baht or local/foreign currency equivalence

Other than that the Financial Requirements for a Thai Spouse Extension of Stay or Non–O E–Visa/Visa is ฿400,000.– Baht

Ant W Tailor the question was, how much does it cost to get a non O visa without and agent.

Having a Thai bank account with the required funds in has got nothing to do with it.
