Dear group

I’ve been a DTVisa holder since 28th of August 2025 and didn’t leave Thailand until mid December last year. It was on Christmas Eve when I passed the immigration at Suvarnabhumi / BKK airport. All immigration counters were tremendously overrun and queues seemed endless. I want to emphasize, that it was my first time to re-renter Thailand within my DTVisa. When handing my passport to the immigration officer, I also did lay down the personalized eVISA print that one should bring when the initial DTVisa stamp is received (which was 2nd of September in my case). I just wanted to make sure, that I can offer literally all of the documents authority’s could ask one for when checking your VISA status. After my passport and the mentioned eVISA print were present on the counter I grabbed for my phone to look up the DTAC (digital arrival card) on it. When doing this (while my eyes were only focusing my phone), the officer allegedly did the following: re stamping my passport, without asking for my DTAC, for another 6 months of DTVisa. However, believe it or not, I didn’t take notice of that and was just surprised that she already handed me back my documents without even asking for the DTAC with a stressed "tee nee" ( = there you go?). I did neither hear her stamping nor did I notice that she was actually writing down something in my passport. Not to mention, that BKKs immigration counter area was loud as hell on 24th of December.

Now, mid of January, I was about to get my papers together for an extension of my current 6-month-DTVisa that is supposed to end on 28th of February. Since I was completely unaware of what was done to my current DTVisa on Christmas Eve, I had to trace back that it must have been the immigration officer’s „mistake“ to think, that I would have asked for my initial 6 months of DTVisa when encountering her on 24th of Dec. ? I really don't know what to make out of this and the narration of what she might have thought when stamping my passport is pure speculation.

Can anyone recall a similar scenario or report if this just went terribly wrong since the immigration officer did misinterpret my offered documents? I did read about some other DTVisa holders’s stories in this group that local Royal Immigration Offices would sometimes tend to fend off when a foreigner shows up with a „maverick“ case.

I hope I don’t ask for too much when I enquire for any advise on this. Is it likely that they will be able to comprehend plus resolve the „matter“?

Thank you very much for your attention & engagement. I’d be more than happy to receive any advice on this matter, khrap 🙏

Hi, Im new here and need help. I just tried to apply for a visa to Thailand and it was a very frustrating exercise. I got to the photo part and I couldnt figure out a way to drag my photo to the square and when I tried to access my photo on browse it sent me to my download folder instead of photos. Granted, Im old and not very tech savvy but Ive submitted many photos online and never had this issue.

So I tried on my other phone but I couldn't get back into the visa. I couldnt access it because the boxes to press the buttons were on top of each other. So Ill have to start over. Has anyone else had these issues? Is there a service that will do this for me if I can't figure it out?

Secondly, Im arriving in Bangkok Thailand Feb 21, staying 10 days and then will be traveling around SE Asia. Ill return to Thailand (Chiang Mai) arriving Sept 8 and staying 30 days and then fly out of Bangkok 2 days later to Europe. Is this configuration a single visa or a multiple visa? Am I correct that the total days allowed in Thailand is 60 days?

Thanks for your help and advice. Im stuck at this point.

I’m looking help This year, I visited Thailand twice for short layovers—each time staying one night before returning to the UK and then back to Vietnam. I used the digital arrival card both times and didn’t need a visa Now, I’m planning a four-day trip and wondering if I can still use the digital arrival card or if I’ll need a visa
