we my Thai wife and I have built a house in Thailand in 2019 just before Covid. My wife owned the land.Started with cash we brought from NZ the legal amount allowed then just transferred money as required as progress payments in small amounts. No problem and I thought very cheap. My wife did now the builder and we were in Thailand for most of the build. It is a western style house and very pleased with it. I am not worried about I being in her name as we have our own house in NZ.We are in a village and have no problems with here family.

We built it new in 2019 and couldn’t get back until 2023 but to our knowledge it has never been registered unless it happened when we did the TM30
