What kind of housebook do we need for a non-O marriage-based visa application in Thailand?

My husband and I live together in a condo that we rent. We are both on the lease. HE is listed in the housebook for his mother’s house. We are trying to gather the paperwork necessary for the non-o marriage based visa. We went to immigration and they were unsure of what housebook we would need to include. Has anyone experienced this? Does the condo have a housebook or do the specific owners or each condo apartment have a housebook? Would we use his housebook even though we don’t live there? This is quite confusing for us. Any advice would be appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The author and their husband are preparing for a non-O marriage-based visa application in Thailand and are confused about which housebook to use. They live in a rented condo, where both are on the lease, while the husband is registered in a housebook at his mother's home. They seek clarification on whether they need the housebook from the condo or if they can use the husband's housebook, despite not living at that address. According to a community comment, it is crucial to be registered at the property where they reside for the TM30 notification, along with presenting the lease agreement and possibly the landlord's identification.

okay, YOU need to be registered at the property where you live by the TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) as that's the address where you will be applying for your extension. You'll need copies of the lease, sometimes the owner's i/d or passport and the house book listing of where you are leasing.

There's NO issue of your thai husband having his house book listing at another address (TONS of thais are on the 'family land' house book but live other places). he'll need his listing in the house book and the main page but you shouldn't have any issue of him having a house book listing at an address other than where you live.

When I went to the temp immiggration in Samut Prakan the other day they said easier to get a retirement visa than a marriage as they would need photos of our family and where we live, so going for a retirement visa next week, they also said it could take a few week to proses a marriage visa. Now I am not sure if this is correct but that's the way I am going to go as a first 12 months visa.

they are just lazy. A marriage extension always goes under consideration for 30 days before you go back and get the year inked in AND a marriage extension requires half the funds in the bank that the retirement does.

You do what you want but it's NOTHING to do with it being harder or anything. Once you do one yearly extension based on marriage you'll know how to do it every year

Many condominiums don't have the house/address number at the gate, but only the name. At the side of your door, there should be the house/address number of your room.

right! But immigration told us it must be the outside of the building… 🤷🏼‍♀️

then go stand outside where the signage is for the building and take the photo. MOST want that AND the one in front of the address of the room (usually ON or next to your front door)

Thank you. I am registered with the TM30. I have the lease as well. I can get the owners ID.

Another question? Immigration is saying we must take a photo outside the condo so you can see the building number and the whole condo. Our condo doesn’t have the building number on the facade. Should I request the owner please put one up?
