The SRRV was suspended in October 2020 with no date for its return stated. The 35 years seemed to be the issue particularly with the Chinese flooding in. One critical difference for some people is/was that the money you need to have is a $20,000 bond and kept by the government permanently until you leave or die.

Thanks guys, in Samut Prakarn they are only accepting translated passports - only by their office - and the passport certification from the British Embassy. different rules all over it seems!
