Does anyone have any experience of getting or trying to get a yellow house book (ท.ร.13) as a DTV holder? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A DTV holder is generally unable to obtain a yellow house book (ท.ร.13) as it is typically not permitted under a tourist visa classification. One commenter noted that purchasing a condo allows for obtaining a yellow book, but this option may not be available for those on a DTV.

After researching more, I discovered that this is not possible while holding a DTV, because a DTV is viewed as a tourist visa, and a yellow book may not be obtained using a tourist visa.

If you buy a condo you can get one

You can get a yellow book in many circumstances. Long-term visa extension holders are generally eligible. Not sure about DTV holders. Might depend on your amphoe.

I've been here 8 years on long term extensions and last I checked they won't give me one. I'm not married and don't have any property though which is what counts me out, at least at my amphoe. To be honest I only tried to get the book in order to get the pink ID card but I find a driving licence is just as good in most situations

That is surprising; I've heard many people on long term extensions get one. A Thai driver's license is indeed good enough in most circumstances.

that would be a blue book then

Yellow is not for owners it's for renters etc

And most don't know it exists 😂

The yellow one you need a copy of the owner blue book page signature on the copy

A copy of their ID also signed

Your Rental agreement, I belive residency certificate as well as passport

If you Google it it'll tell you all you Want to know I'm now waiting on my landlord to give me the two I mentioned above to go grab mine here in bkk

With it you can then as I'm told get a thai ID the pink one as well as makes it easier to get bank accounts as well

Again this is what my research has told me and what the office I talked to said as well!

the blue book is for Thai people, the yellow book for foreigners.

not gonna argue foreigners can infact get a blue book when they buy look it up 🤷‍♂️

Yellow is applied for to establish residence

Again I've literally researched this and went to the office

For a blue book, you need to be a permanent resident. Anyone not on a PR visa can't be listed in a blue book only a yellow one.

@Paul ******
yes but you still can get a blue book when you buy a condo etc

Didn't say can be listed in it 🙏

they get an empty blue book for the property but they can't get their name in it. They need to get a yellow book to get their name it.
