Does anyone know if you need to notify residence after the change to new TM30 system. I thought we were good by being notified in the old system, but our names don’t pop-up in the new system.

Hi, I renewed my extension of stay based on marriage on 22nd Sept. I was given a 30 days consideration stamp and due to report back on 22nd Oct. I did a new notification of residence as part of the process (the blue slip).

Now my question is I am due for 90 days reporting on the 11th Oct. Do I still need to follow the old reporting cycle or I can ignore given I did a new notification as part of the renewal of extension process?

Thank you in advance for the helpful comments.

I went to immigration to do the 90 day report (due on 13August). They told me there's a fine for late notification of my residence (the owner did not do it), so they did not process the 90 day report.

Besides the original lease, what documents do I need to submit?

The manager of the apartment said she has reported me, and gave me this form, and attached a table for 'the names of aliens at residence', and a printout of the website (the cells on top of the webpage are blank). She said she did not pay the fine.

Hello 🙂

I have three questions regarding my foreign husband styaing with me in Thailand. Please help advise whether I understand the matters correctly.

1. Regarding notification of residence, if I am the one who rents the apartment (only my name on the rental contract), I am the one who is obligated to do the report for my foreign husband who stays with me, right? Is there any difference or pro and con of having his name on the contract as a rentee too?

2. To get the residence certificate in order to use it to open the bank account for a foreigner, it’s not the same process as “notification of residence” right? Do I understand correctly that after notifying the stay of my husband which can be done online, I still need to go to the Immigration Office to get the document of residence certificate?

3. My husband has entered Thailand with 90-day non-O visa which will be expired on 4th July. After spending 12 days in quarantine, and moving in to our new place, we will be able to do all that required + putting 400,000 baht in the Thai bank. Letting the money stay for at least 2 months, we will have approximately just 5 days before visa expiration. Will that be enough days to apply for a-year extension or would you suggest we apply for 60-day extension first and then do the one-year later?

Thank you so much in advance and any advice is highly appreciated.

I have a question about the Section 38 residence notification app. My wife registered and filled all the information in on time after coming back from overseas. I went to immigration for my 90 report and they asked for the receipt from the website. I didn't see any link from which I was to print anything out. Where or how am I supposed to do that?

TM.30 self-file by EMS post to Chaeng Wattana - it took them almost 7 weeks to send back confirmation, but finally they did. So be patient folks :)

Actually it would make sense to have TM.30 self-file stands at the luggage collection section on the airports. Then we could do it easily when waiting for luggage.

I have a question regarding the online notification of residence (TM 30). My landlord has completed the registration online successfully ( he sent me a confirmation), but I haven’t received any kind of receipt. Does immigration mail this to me? I’m not sure how the process works.

Hello. Regarding notification of residence when making internal trip to Bangkok and staying in hotels.

SITUATION

Have correct extension of stay and multiple RE-entry permit. Living in own condo and registered address in correct way.

QUESTION

If I travel to Bangkok for a weekend and stay in hotels do I have to waste time going back to Immigration and reregistering my place of residence before the original 90 days are due when I return?

Some useful info regarding how things done are in the Samut Prakan immigration office. After you fill in your TM.30 (residence notification) and get the receipt, you do not have to get the landlord to sign another form after coming back into the country, they just add a stamp and signature to your original receipt. Just make sure you do it within 24 hours of coming back to your house, bring your plane ticket/hotel receipt if you came in at the weekend or stayed in another province and make sure you have the TM.6 departure card because they use the information on that.

Also some info on a visa extension based on marriage. A friend of mine did this after border bouncing for 15 months. He had fill in a TM.30 from his landlord (his wife) and because he didn't know about it like myself, had to pay 1000 baht fine. He also brought with him the marriage certificate, wife's thai i/d, her house book listing, a filled out TM.7 and a passport photo. But what he wasn't expecting was them wanting to take a photo of his 10 month old son, we have no idea why they wanted to do that. But he got his extension. His visa will last 17 months from the original visa issue date as will mine when I go to do it in 3 months' time.
