Quick question, please. I live in Thai Land I rent a house which I have done for a long time I’ve come I’ve come to the UK for a few weeks when I go back to Thai Land do I still need to register a new TM 30 many thanks
Answer summary
The necessity of filing a new TM 30 registration upon returning to Thailand depends on the local immigration office. While some offices may require a new filing after any absence, others may not require it if you return to the same address. Experiences vary among expats, with some reporting that they have been able to use the same TM 30 without re-filing, while others have faced differing requirements based on office policies. It's advisable to check with your specific immigration office for details.

When is a TM30 Required?

Initial Arrival or New Address: A filing is required when a foreigner first arrives at a property or changes their residential address.No Resubmission needed for Same Stay: If a foreign resident stays at the same address continuously, a new TM30 does not need to be re-filed for every 90-day report. However, a new filing is triggered if you leave the country and return with a new arrival stamp or move to a new location.

My landlord just gave me his login details. Whenever I arrive back home I just logon and send the notification that I'm at the address again. Takes less than 5 minutes to do.

Only your local office can answer that question, as they all vary

As
@Jo**
said it’s completely dependent on the office you use. Some say no you don’t need to. Others yes you do. If you say which office you’re using then someone maybe able to tell you their policy.

Depending on immigration, i hav same TM 30 in 5 years (almost 6) from the date the rules changed in june 2020 and was publish in Royal Gazzette. Can leave thailand and come back on same TM 30 if you go to same adress, and when i apply new extension yearly they never change the TM 30.

It will be up to your local immigration office but most will want a new TM30 when returning from abroad. Some even want it if you spend one night in a hotel

I've used the same immigration office for 10 years and over time the requirements have changed, usually coinciding with staff changes. To begin with I didn't need a fresh TM30 even on returning from overseas, then I needed a fresh TM30 only when returning from overseas, now I need a fresh TM30 even for a night away in a hotel. Like I said, it's going to depend on the immigration office
