Just completed my trip to Myanmar via Ranong. We drove down in our car and parked by the pier. Immediately we were offered boat trips so we paid a guy 1000bt to take us. I was the only one on the boat. In addition 500 bt for Visa. Everyone was very helpful including immigration on both sides.

This was my first time not flying in and out on DTV so was happy for the guy's help and didn't begrudge the 1k. Overall it took 2 hrs in total. No questions at all about my DTV. Not asked about funds or anything. 180 more days in my passport

Hello everybody.

Does anybody know if the Ranong immigration is working at the moment? For touristvisa extension…

Or maybe any experiences?

Never been there before and it’s a small one.

Thanks in advance.

Has anyone been recently to Ranong immigration for the 60 days covid extension? How was the process?

I did the past extension in MTT but then I moved to Ranong province. I will bring with me the tm30. Is there anything I need to know before going? Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone! I need an advise:)

I have in my passport 3 visas (since last year)- 3 moths + 3 months + than I was 3 months in Poland + 6 months visa. Last week I have been in Singapore and I came back on visa on arrival (30 days). Now I was thinking to extend another 30 days and later go to Ranong for another 30 days on arrival. Do you think that I can have a problems in Ranong? I have been there just once, on December.

After that I am going back to Poland (19th of June), that why I need this extra 30 days.

Thanks so much for help!🙏

Hi guys, happy new year , this is probably a very easy one so I hope I’m not wasting your time , I’m traveling around with my Thai girlfriend, was going to Ranong and extend my 30 day visa issued at survanabhumi airport , issued reluctantly by immigration as , I think, it was my 3rd visit to Thailand in 2018 , we’d also done a land crossing into Vientiane and a land crossing back in Thai from Cambodia , all other trips were internal flights,oh and 1 visa extension in Pattaya! ( interesting) . My questions are , should I do a visa run ( my first ) . Or extend visa at Ranong immigration , and not risk refusal and abandonment of said lady in Ranong , . Have a Uk passport , will cross with 10000 baht and 300£ English, photos and will get hotel in Ranong , so an address ( or use Dee’s in Khon-Kaen) oh have brand new 10$ note , I’m really asking because reading posts here the last few days getting concerned about re entry after multiple visits and the reaction from lady at airport on my 3rd entry , cheers , Rob

I have quite a few tourist visas in my passport, but I've been back to Canada in between. Most recently I came over with the multiple entry visa, and last I went to Laos for a new single entry. I am thinking to do a run to Ranong to get a 30 day entry, as I plan to leave the country to travel a bit at the end of those 30 days. But is it likely I will have problems without a visa? I have no 30 day entries this year, and can easily show a flight ticket and 20,000 baht.

Boarder bouncers to Ranong (Victoria point & Andaman club) with valid non b/wp and other visa types are often asked for bribe. Is this frequent practice at boarders throughout the country or just Ranong?
