Anyone familiar with how one goes about reapplying Non-Immigrant R (religion) visa for ordained monastics once it's no longer extendable after 5 or 10 years extension (depending on what country's passport you hold) and do they set any limit as to how many times it can be reapplied (if not lifetime?).
Also, is it true one doesn't necessarily have to have Non-Imm R visa to become a monk in Thailand just like one doesn't necessarily have to have Non-Imm B to work in Thailand (I was told so by immigration official at Chaeng Wattana)? I don't think you can be a monk under Non-Imm B, but how about retirement visa or under Thailand Elite program?
Hi there, I am currently in Thailand, I moved to a different city and changed and got employed at a school there. I have a Non-Immigrant B visa for my former employer but it expired in April. In the pre-covid era to get a new Non-Immigrant B visa you had to leave the country and visit a Thai embassy. Now traveling out of Thailand is a questionable move. Is there a way of getting a new Non-Immigrant B visa without leaving Thailand? Maybe the Thai government has a temporary solution for the times like this?
i am planning to back to spain on july and back to thailand again the end of july.
Is it really possible i can back to thailand from EU or stil not 100% confirmed about it?
Some people told me that it is limited number of people possible to re-enter even i have all documents etc and some people said i can back if i have all documents(travel insurance over 100000us dollars and certification from thai embassy)
i checked thai embassy information and they announced like this.
Travel Ban
* The government bans all entries of international flights to Thailand until June 30 to focus on repatriation of Thai nationals for the mandatory ‘state quarantine’.
* The foreign diplomats and foreigners with a valid non-immigrant B visa and work permit to Thailand may now apply for the “Certificate of Entry to Thailand” to be allowed to enter Thailand right now or in July.
Please advice me what is real fact on this moment,
Hi, i am in Bkk since february 14 2020 and was under a Non immigrant B until 13 May. However due to the situation i lost my work and so my visa has not been extended. Like many others i am under the visa amnesty till 31st July, but i would like to be able to then have a 3-6 months visa to be able to try to find a new job as i moved in Bkk with all my stuff. What could be the possibility for that? I might find something soon but would prefer to anticipate in case nothing get finalized.
I am trying to apply for a business visa (non-immigrant B) as I have a job offer in Thailand. My employer has sent though an invitation letter and various supporting documents including their business license and financial records. I am a UK citizen.
The London Thai Embassy website says I have to use the online application system. There are two questions that I can't answer and the system will not let me proceed without uploading something for them - please see screenshot.
Document 8 is a WP3 which I don't have. How do I get a WP3 ?
Also the website asks for a "confirmation of legal residence in the UK (Document 9) in case you are not a national of the UK". I am a UK citizen and have already provided my passport details, but I can't see a way of giving this answer
Also I have read elsewhere that I need to provide my health insurance details but there is no facility to upload them.
Just want some advise on my visa/extension. So I am currently on a year extension from my non immigrant b visa. This extension expires on 12th June 2020. I worked at an international school until last week when I told them that I wouldn’t be returning for when the school reopened. I want to fly to my home country and don’t intend on returning. My school has my work permit but they havent cancelled it yet.
I know the amnesty is running until 31st July but I’m not sure what my options are?
My school told me that if I don’t intend on returning to Thailand to work then I don’t need to do anything and just make sure that I fly out of the country before 31st July?
For those of us that want to visit Immigration to double check that our current visa is covered by the July 31 Amnesty extension, did I read somewhere that they will even issue a receipt of some sort demonstrating that we got our case verified? I would have no problem even paying for that piece of paper. I'm in Chiang Mai. Has anyone gone to do this?
I hope that you are all safe and sound during this pandemic.
Here is my situation:
I have a non-immigrant B for teaching visa that expires tomorrow. I am not renewing with the school. I already have my U.S. Embassy letter for the Covid-19 virus extension.
Do I need to go to Chaeng Wattana or the new place at Impact Arena? The posts are getting quite confusing because I see some people getting it done at CW and then there are other posts saying that you must go to the other place based on a photo circulating. However, the photo does not specifically say Covid19 emergency extensions.
I would ask for a clear and accurate response based on your own experience within the past week. Please do not give speculations! I know that there are other teachers out there who are in the same predicament because this is the time for a large number of contracts to expire. Thank you!
