Inquiring about legitimate companies for visa assistance in Thailand often leads to mixed opinions. Some users warn against using agencies due to potential issues, arguing that the visa application process—particularly for the digital nomad visa (DTV)—is straightforward enough to handle independently. They suggest that even when using an agency, applicants must provide much of the same documentation required online. However, several users have shared positive experiences with companies like Siam Legal, Integrity Legal, and M-Thai Visa, highlighting their efficiency in handling applications. Ultimately, while agencies can assist with the paperwork, the final visa decision rests with the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies, raising the effectiveness of agencies into question.
An agency is in the dark as much as you are, unless there’s some corruption going on and one of them has a guaranteed in. You prepare your documents and make them as presentable and coherent as possible. You’re basically paying more for someone to look over your stuff and give an opinion then upload it for you. It’s not worth it.
I just got approved going the Workcation route. If you don't have a remote job, you choose the soft power option. Applying is simple - you just have to upload the requested documents in the portal. I think paying someone could be somewhat of a rip off depending on how much they charge and if they are guaranteeing acceptance. People say a Table of Contents helps for their file uploads but I was approved without one.
Any agency should be able to help since the DTV is mostly making sure the paperwork is easy to understand and all the right paperwork is required. But no agency can guarantee you a visa since its handled by MFA and the embassies in other countries.
We can assist you with the documentation and submission process. However, please be advised that the final outcome is subject to the Embassy’s discretion.
For some, I am sure the simplicity of handing it to a company sounds easier, less stress. But as I completed the process already (soft power), I really don’t see what a company could do for you, since you need to give the company all the same information that the online application requires. Ie, you will do the same amount of work and pay them on top of that.
The only tricky part was file size and getting all docs legible and compressed for the absurdly small file sizes allowed to be uploaded. But it was doable with my very novice computer ability.
The situations I can think of where a third party is needed would be complex workcation applications, where establishing proof of business or occupation is complicated. Soft power is far easier imo.
