How many days would it take to approve in Cambodia, phnom penh embassy? Applied on Dec 1 and supplied cambodia entry stamp on Dec 2 and it showed process pending approval. Since I only enter with 14 days arrival I have a bit concerns on that.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The approval time for a Thai visa at the Phnom Penh embassy can vary significantly based on the applicant's nationality and local processing conditions. After submitting an application on December 1 and providing a Cambodia entry stamp on December 2, the processing status indicates pending approval. It's crucial to consider that certain passport holders may experience longer waiting periods, potentially up to a month, due to embassy workloads and local holidays. Additionally, processing times might be reset when further information is provided, so allowing for extra time is advised during this busy period.

Look at the Embassy website, but be aware it is the most busy time of year for visaapplication, so allow longer processing times.

thanks for pointing that, I’m aware of that also, I think I have to sit back and wait is the best 😁

Many embassies reset the clock when you supply further information so 10 working days starting on the 3rd. But there are also 2 thai holidays which you need to allow for

@Portgas **********
nope 15th is a Sunday. 16th

I see, I just came here with 14 days visa, I might need to leave on 14 Dec

- Yeah, you should have entered on a 30 day tourist visa.

I don’t know about that, is there any chance to extend the stay ?

- Nope, once you enter on a 14-day visa (ASEAN countries), you have to exit. Before going through immigration at the airport, there was a visa on arrival stand, where you could have submitted form for tourist visa, which would have given you 30 days (with ability to extend another 30 days).

@Portgas **********

16 would be if there were no holidays. The 5th and 10th are holidays, so your date is most likely Dec 18th

What is your passport nation?

That's Very important to know.

Some passport nation holders may take up to one month to get clearance for the issue of a Thai Visa.

Visa processing times (NOT including day of submission)*

10 working days (NOT include the Day of Submission) for all types of visa including Non-Immigrant Labour visas for Cambodian migrant workers

There is no option for expedited visa consideration. Faster visa processing than the timeline outlined above is possible only for medical or family emergency cases. The applicant must provide proof of urgent need to travel such as medical or death certificate.

then it would cover the dates I hope, really appreciate for answering, I’d seen about that 10 working days, but just stressing 😁

@Portgas **********
- It is 10 business days plus the business day you applied. Since Dec 1 is Sunday, your actual application day is December 2nd. So, the date it would normally be ready is December 16th, which is already outside of your Cambodian visa length. Complicating it more is the fact that December 5th and December 10th are both Thai holidays (not business days), so this would push your date to December 18th
