I received my identity history summary from the FBI today and it says no prior arrest data. However, it also says " this does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level". Is this what they all say and it will meet the requirement of the consulate?
I am currently in the usa we are waiting for my husband to get his usa citizenship before retiring on a non o marriage visa how long does it take for FBI check and will it have to be apostilled.what is the validation windows for the background check thank you
All, I am just beginning to explore the visa process. I am a U.S. citizen, currently in the U.S. on the Thai embassy website it states that for an OA visa I will need a police clearance letter. Who has done this? Where do you get a police clearance letter? The website suggests the FBI??? My record is spotless. I just don’t know how to go about getting a letter such as This.
Hey all, we're moving to Chiang Mai this fall. My husband will be teaching. I'm curious if anyone from the US knows this...does the background check for the Non-Immigrant Type B visa have to apostilled or officially certified? Or can we just order it from the FBI and that's good enough?
Same question in regard to birth certificates and marriage certificates.
A couple questions. 1.- We live in Florida, USA. Will a background check from the "Florida Department of Law Enforcement" be acceptable for a OA visa? Or will I need a FBI background check?" 2. - Wife has a Green Card, and a Vietnamese Passport. Her passport expires in July 2022. Will the Thai Embassy issue a OA visa to her, due to little time left on her passport? If renewing her passport before less than 6 months the cost is 3x. I have emailed the Thai Embassy, but no reply. Thanks in advance!
Visa question-- I guess the Thai embassy in the US wasn't satisfied with my criminal record clearance certificate from the countries where I have been living for the last 6 years. So they want one from the FBI (even though I have not lived here in forever). Did anyone have to do a similar background check? Did you use some sort of agency? Any recommendations? Need to expedite this as it's holding up my visa plans.
Getting all my documents together for a retirement visa from home country of USA.
Right now trying to get my criminal background check done. Called my local law enforcement agency about getting this done. They seem to be clueless, they mentioned about finger print card that does that meet the requirement for Visa? Second of all does have be an official hard copy letter from an official office stating that im cleared or can they email the background check and then i print the the results off and use that as my background check document?
Thank you in advance for any help, I live in the state of Ohio
Hello all, I had a quick question about police background checks. I am hoping to enter Thailand on a tourist visa and convert to a non b when I secure a teaching job. I am a US citizen. I was wondering if it is required for me to get a police background check in order to get the visa. If so would a FBI background check like the one at this link be enough for the requirement? [members only]/#/ Is it required for me to get a background check in the US or can this be done in Thailand with the Thai police? Or both? If I get the background check here in the US does this need to be authenticated or notarized in some way? Does a regular check work or does it need to specifically refer to working with children or something? Thanks for the advice.
