Can anyone share any experience of applying in Kathmandu/Nepal recently?
Also, can I apply in Pokhara? Even if the embassy is in Kathmandu? There is only one embassy in Nepal. ππΎππΎπ

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses experiences related to applying for a Thai visa from Nepal, particularly the challenges and successes when applying at the embassy in Kathmandu versus potential options in Pokhara. Commenters share insights about the application process, fees, and the reliability of the Thai embassy services in Nepal, indicating higher rejection rates and suggesting that applicants generally face difficulties. It is noted that applications may be processed online but must still fulfill specific requirements at the Kathmandu embassy.
I made some enquiries when I was in Nepal recently and the applications are processed there by the wonderful people of VFS, that was enough for me to scratch this option off my list.
You can apply anywhere from nepal as everything is online. Once the application accepted, Embassy will send you QR. you have to make payment at Global bank and submit the receipt at the embassy at the Kathmandu.
I think Nepal still does not have an online payment system. You had to pay via a specific bank in KTM and applicants had an interview. You should double check before applying. There are some posts about applying there which should be in the threads.
