TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a Non-O visa suitable for a 90-day stay but intends to visit Thailand every two months for two months. They inquire about the frequency with which they can apply for this type of visa. Responses indicated that applications can be made multiple times without a strict limit, as it largely depends on the embassy's policies. Suggestions included considering a longer-term visa or different visa types like DTV for more flexibility during their visits.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).

Why i THINK it shouldn't be a problem, the visa system is about 1. Making sure you leave at the end, 2. You don't work, so you show you can support yourself (funds in bank), 3. That you're not trying to be a longterm resident using incorrect visa. If all these 3 are met, then why should or would any country deny you the visa? A lot of these rules are in place to stop people cheating the system. I think you will be fine. How many do you hope to apply for each year, 2,3,4?
Beware of 183days? Rules many countries have. If you stay in the country over 183 days you may liable to pay income tax. Best is contact Thai embassy in Belgium to ask questions you have. They are there to help anyone want to visit Thailand.
Graeme Mort why apply for 6m when he doesn't even intend using the entire 3m visa, to apply for a 3m visa, he will not require any funds in a Thai bank account, as each time he applies he will have to show the funds are available in his home country
Osian Ledger yiu obviously dont understand how a DTV operates. The key is a 5 year multi entry visa which allows up to 180days each visit, you only show the the 500kbaht or equivalent once when you apply for the visa. He can stay in thailand for 2 months each and every time without needing to apply for a new visa for 5 years. The DTV gives him flexibility without needing a thai bank account and lasts for 5 years
So, out of 365 days of a year, you are coming to Thailand for a minimum of 180 days, split up into two-months increments.
Why would you want to complicate matters?
You should just put the 800,000 THB into your Thai bank account and apply for the 1-year Extension of Temporary Stay Permit.
Then buy a multi re-entry permit for this one year stay permit, for 3800 Baht. On the extension and the multi re-entry permit, you can come and leave as many times as you wish during the 1-year EOS.
Myself I am hibernating for 6 months every year since 18 years, I got a minimum of 800,000 THB in my Thai bank account and my annual EOS application costs a 1900 Baht fee, the bank letter costs 200 Baht.
For the bank account and the money in it, I have made up a Thai Last Will.
Easy peasy. Why would you want to complicate matters?
Disregard the trolls. Looks like 'Pete' and 'Pabo' are going up and down the comments to pee on this campfire. Happens all the time. Its like commuting to work; there is always a enough jerk drivers, but you still have to steer clear of them just to get to where you want to go.
Bruce Kirby If you regularly live with your girlfriend, then the tourist purpose will be denied. I had the problem in January, it was really close. In June I'm traveling with the Non O.
You can also apply for a tourist visa for purpose visiting family and friends. But you need an invitation letter from your girlfriend for that. With a copy of her ID Card. Then there are no problems if you always state your place of residence as a place to stay.
My Thai wife really is an aerospace engineer. We came to the UK in 2008 and she got a job straight away with a Westlands supplier in Somerset. She already had a degree in Thailand, she then did an MBA here in the UK. Eventually had her own limited company and became a contractor.
Ruud Maenhout that's not a low IQ answer........it's a zero IQ response. Probably has experienced that do assumes everyone is tarred with the same brush.
Do not rise to the bait ? Most people on these forums are pretty helpful if a person asks for help . I would not dream of making a nasty remark to a total stranger .I think some people are rather blinkered and Myopic ( Just my view) . My Thai Wife told me a long time ago ( Do not believe everything you read /see on Forums).Good Luck with your journey )
As many times as your Thai Embassy will sell one to you, there is no written limit so if you want three per year you should be ok unless they decide you need to take the one year extension
No one can really answer this. You have no details about what embassy you are using for the Non O. Each embassy has their own policies so without knowing which one you are using no one can say.
Ruud Maenhout I think the Belgian Embassy still does the income affidavit which makes getting the 12 month extension to a Non-O much easier if you take this route
Ruud Maenhout Recent tightening (late 2025 onward) mainly targets visa-exempt/tourist entries and excessive runs without proper visas. Legitimate Non-O multi-entry use for your stated purpose is still supported and not subject to the same 2-run caps.
Neil Fowell since all Thai Embassies went to the eVisa system, Multi-entry Non-O visas no longer exist. It's either a Non-O and yearly Extension of Stay, or buying single Non-O's as needed.
get the Non-O visa, come to Thailand, open a bank account and put 800k baht in it. Get a re-entry permit, leave and return and once your 800k baht has been in the account for 2 months apply for a 12 month extension of stay with a multiple re-entry permit
