What should I expect during the visa interview process at the Thai embassy in Pakistan?

Question

Destination Thailand Visa from Pakistan
I applied for a DTV from Pakistan and today my interview was scheduled however when I went there they asked me to submit the documents and I submitted the same documents which I submitted online and they said no interview will be conducted I am just curious about this situation because the whole point of interview is to verify everything on online platforms and show them your work

When applying for a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) from Pakistan, many applicants experience varied interview processes at the Thai embassy in Islamabad. It is common for the embassy to ask for documents but not conduct a formal interview. Instead, they verify the submitted documents against those filed online. This means that even if an interview is scheduled, it may turn into a simple document check without extensive questioning. Applicants with strong documentation, including proof of income and work, might not face many questions. Resources like 'Unlock Thailand' by Isla Rey can help applicants understand what the embassy looks for and how to prepare.

That is normal for Pakistan. Thai embassy in Islamabad often schedules an interview but when you arrive they just take your papers to check. They use the meeting to see your original documents and to match them with what you sent online. So even if they say no interview, they still did a document check.

Sometimes they ask short questions like what work you do and how you get money, sometimes they just collect file and tell you to wait. If your online file is strong with bank, work proof and income, they may not need to ask much. So do not worry, this does not mean a problem.

To understand how the Islamabad process works and what they like to see in file, I saw clear notes for Pakistan applicants in Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon, it explains interview and papers and how long approval takes. It can help you stay calm while waiting.
