What should I expect when entering Thailand on a DTV visa?
Not a fear-mongering post. Not trying to demean the DTV visa or anything like that, but this is a real experience that I just had less than 5 hours ago when I landed in Phuket. I went through immigration. They asked me what DTV visa I said, "The nomad one," and then the lady is like, "Can you go with this man? They're going to interview you."
They took me to this interview room. They gave me this clipboard and form. They told me to fill it out, and they said there's an email address on the wall to forward my justification for my DTV, which I did, no longer than 30 minutes. They said, "We'll let you go," except another guy who came and sat next to me didn't get so lucky. He ended up getting deported from Australia.

You can always get 30 day on arrival and then extend 30 days and it costs 1900b i believe. That’s what I’m doing.

Go look thai embassy website > the presumed number of days it takes your embassy is " promissed" there

I see a lot of people here from the uk who said they got it within 7-10 days. But you can apply for your visa up to 90 days before you travel. Just be safe and apply for it early.

Wietze de Wit you are talking about the 6 month METV. The 60 day single entry visa activates when you enter Thailand. And when you receive the visa you have 90 days to enter Thailand.
