For the LTR wealthy pensioner. What do you need to prove the monthly passive income requirement? Retirement pay stubs? Or some other proof like bank account or other paperwork.

Does this money have to be transferred into Thailand somehow or can it just stay as passive income in my own US account?

Does the passive retirement income have to be earned and documented for a whole year before application?

Where do I look for health Insurance in Thailand for LTR compliance.

Anyone with experience or trouble getting the wealthy pension LTR, have any advice on pitfalls or helpful suggestions? Open to using a visa service, any suggestions? Is it Better to apply in or out of Thailand?

Thank you all. Sorry for long post.

Hello all. I spend most of my time in Bangkok & have a Thai Elite visa (I won't go into why, but it absolutely made sense in my situation at the time - forget all the cars & fast track stuff).

I am 45 & am about to my marry my Thai fiancé/partner of six years. She is a doctor at a government hospital & has been for 12 years, not including the the three years of specialist training after university.

I have the means to obtain a Thai Elite visa, but I'd like to know what my options are prior to committing to this.

Kind thanks in advance 🙏

Hi everyone I am just looking for advice and doing some research on moving to thailand. As a 29 year old, how could i move to thailand? I understand i would maybe have to arrive on a tourist visa and then extend after establishing a bank account and having proof of income, but i would like to hear more opinions from others. I also was looking to apply for a 90 day visa and attend a language school but i dont know much about thai language schools. Any advice for a permanently disabled veteran? I WILL be reading every comment and might not reply to most but i appreciate any opinion or wisdom. Should i rent a place in thailand to move to on my 60-90 day visit before arriving and extend by using that rental agreement or is it more complicated than that? In reality I would like to become a permanent resident and spent the rest of my days there.

Thai Elite/Privilege to Non-Immigrant "O" visa (based on marriage)

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a non-immigrant O visa based on marriage if you have an Elite visa?

My Elite/Thai Privilege visa runs out on 1 March and I'd like to apply for a non-immigrant O that would start seamlessly after the old visa expires.

Thanks for your help!

My wife and I are planning our second retirement in Pattaya early next year. We are planning on entering on a 60 day tourist visa. We are planning on applying for a wealth visa after arrival. We will have a 30 lease agreement from our son and daughter in law which is Thai. My son is on the lease but will not live with us. We are 80 and 78 years old and have $100,000 set aside in a US bank account for the past year. This is a requirement if you plan to being self-insured. We can meet the requirements as for as income. We don’t plan on returning to the US anytime that year but staying in Thailand. Is this possibly or should will apply for a 5 year elite visa and after 5 years get a wealth visa.

We need to open a Thai bank account but plan on having enough US funds to live comfortably for the rest of the year if need be. We have a small Yorkie dog that will be with us upon arrival. My son which has now three condos, says we should be able to do this with a good agent. We were in Thailand last year for 7 weeks.

Thank you.
