For the LTR wealthy pensioner. What do you need to prove the monthly passive income requirement? Retirement pay stubs? Or some other proof like bank account or other paperwork.

Does this money have to be transferred into Thailand somehow or can it just stay as passive income in my own US account?

Does the passive retirement income have to be earned and documented for a whole year before application?

Where do I look for health Insurance in Thailand for LTR compliance.

Anyone with experience or trouble getting the wealthy pension LTR, have any advice on pitfalls or helpful suggestions? Open to using a visa service, any suggestions? Is it Better to apply in or out of Thailand?

Thank you all. Sorry for long post.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for the LTR wealthy pensioner visa in Thailand, you need to demonstrate a monthly passive income of at least $80,000 USD annually. Accepted proof includes tax returns, pension statements, and other documents showing income, and this money does not need to be transferred to a Thai bank—it can remain in your US account. There is no requirement for the income to be documented for an entire year before application; however, detailed documentation will strengthen your case. Additionally, health insurance can be satisfied either through a major provider or by showing $100,000 in any bank account. The application can be completed online without needing to be in Thailand initially, but it may be beneficial to consult with a visa service if your financial situation is complicated.

Use a cover letter to explain your passive income, provide proof as attachments, make the file into one PDF file and upload into system. Most all this information is on the LTR website.

They have a checklist and other information that explain what’s required.

I used confirmation letters from my 2 pensions and from Social Security. Plus 1 year of 1099s and my US tax returns. I did not have to prove transfers to Thailand although obviously you have to do that.

I used SIAM Legal to process everything. I always use professionals to avoid problems.

The online application process is very straightforward and easy to do. You can use anything to prove your passive income. Pension statements, investment income, rental income, tax returns. Whatever clearly demonstrates $80k USD annual passive income.

The money does NOT have to be transferred to Thailand. Can stay in US account.

Health insurance any major insurer like Allianz. But you don’t need to do

It. Just show $100k in any account for the last year.

I have the pensioner LTR. I meet the passive income requirement with my work pension. I show them one year of my tax return. The money does not need to be transferred to a Thai bank as part of the visa requirement.

I have Thai insurance. The insurance companies on the tgia website will qualify. You will have to ask the Thailand Board of Investment about whether outside insurance will qualify. You can also meet the insurance requirement by having $100,000 in a bank located anywhere.

I applied for the LTR visa myself. It was very easy to do because my finances were simple. If your finances are complicated then an agent might help. Give yourself some time for the application process.

If you’re that wealthy just get a Thai Elite visa.

Terence Harrington LTR is FAR superior to Elite. You only buy Elite if you don’t qualify for LTR

No, the embassies have literally nothing to do with the LTR application. It's processed by the BOI inside of Thailand.

actually once you receive your endorsement letter if you’re applying for the eVisa it will go through the embassy that you choose and they will issue the Visa.
